Authorized Benelli Dealer · Steamboat Springs, CO
Benelli shotguns and Lupo bolt rifles, in the case in Steamboat. Handle them before you buy them.
What we don’t have on the shelf we order direct. Tell us the model and finish you want — we’ll tell you what it costs and how long it takes. No guessing.
Why people keep coming back to it
Benelli has been building guns in Urbino, Italy since 1967, and the engineering argument has stayed the same the whole time: simplify the action, and it runs longer between cleanings. That thinking shows up in the semi-autos and in the Lupo bolt gun alike.
Benelli’s semi-autos cycle off the bolt’s own inertia instead of tapping gas out of the barrel. Three main moving parts, no gas system to carbon up, and a receiver that stays noticeably cleaner over a long season.
Recoil management built into the stock rather than bolted onto the end of it. Flexible buffers stack up as the load gets heavier, so 3½″ waterfowl loads and magnum rifle calibers stay shootable.
Benelli backs its Lupo field rifles with a three-shot sub-MOA accuracy guarantee. Cryo-treated free-floating barrel, adjustable 2.2–4.4 lb trigger, and a chassis that beds the action in metal.
The Lupo
Lupo is Benelli’s answer to the question of why a hunting rifle should feel like a hand-me-down.
The action beds into a metal chassis, the barrel free-floats, and the stock comes apart with a shim kit so drop, cast, length of pull and trigger reach all adjust to you instead of the other way around.
It carries the same Progressive Comfort stock system Benelli uses on its heaviest-recoiling shotguns, which is the difference between a magnum you shoot twice at the bench and a magnum you actually practice with. Barrel goes through Benelli’s three-step process — vacuum heat treatment, electrochemical rifling, then cryogenic treatment — and every field Lupo ships with a three-shot sub-MOA guarantee behind it.
It’s a lot of rifle for the money, and it wears a scope and a can without complaint. If you’re building a mountain gun you plan to keep, it’s worth handling.
Standard Lupo runs a 22″ barrel in the short and standard calibers, 24″ in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC and .300 Win Mag. Above that sit the Cerakote, BE.S.T., Walnut, Camo, HPR and Alpha variants. We don’t stock every configuration — new ones land through the season, and anything Benelli catalogs we can order. If you don’t see the chambering or finish you want below, call and we’ll tell you what’s available.
Pulled live from our Benelli rifle inventory. If a card shows “out of stock,” we can still order that configuration — call the shop and we’ll check.
Guns get thin the closer it gets. If there’s something you want in the blind or on the mountain this year, now is when to sort it — not the week before.
The rest of the line
Benelli splits fairly cleanly by what you’re doing with it. Here’s the shorthand. Each one searches our catalog live — what shows up is what we actually have listed.

The 3½″ inertia gun. Built for cold hands, heavy loads and mud — oversized controls, easy-load system, and camo patterns that match a blind.
Shop SBE3 →
The one most people should own. Light, fast, 3″ chamber, 12 or 20 gauge. Upland in the morning, clays in the afternoon, ducks in November.
Shop M2 Field →
The nice one. Nickel-plated receiver, engraved and finished to be looked at. Cordoba adds an extended forcing cone and a longer barrel for high-volume shooting.
Shop Ethos →
Benelli’s over-under — aluminum receiver, steel locking plate, and a comb you can adjust. Carries lighter than most O/Us in its class.
Shop 828U →
The auto-regulating gas-operated 12 gauge the Marine Corps adopted. 18.5″ barrel, built to run dirty. The civilian M1014 is the same gun.
Shop M4 / M1014 →
The pump gun in the family. 3½″ chamber, one-piece steel-reinforced polymer shell, ComforTech stock. Hard to hurt, easy to justify.
Shop SuperNova →Pulled live from our in-store inventory — if it’s here, you can put your hands on it today. Browse all Benelli →

Not on the shelf?
We’re an authorized Benelli dealer, which means the whole catalog is available to us — not just the guns sitting in the rack. Lupo in a chambering we don’t stock, an SBE3 in a specific camo, a 20-gauge M2 Compact for someone smaller. Tell us the model and finish and we’ll come back with a real price and a real timeline.
No pressure to buy in the store, either. If you’re out of the area we ship to your local FFL like any other order.
It means the gun is physically in our shop, on the shelf, today. That grid is pulled live from our in-store inventory rather than a distributor warehouse feed, so if it’s showing, you can drive over and put your hands on it. Stock moves, so it’s worth a call before you make the trip for a specific gun.
Usually, yes. We’re an authorized dealer with access to the full Benelli line. Availability on some configurations runs tight depending on the season, so the honest answer is that we’ll check and tell you either way — including if the answer is “not for a while.”
We ship. Firearms go to a licensed FFL near you for the transfer and the background check — that’s federal law, not a store policy. Send us your dealer’s info at checkout and we handle the rest.
We do, and we buy outright. Bring it in and we’ll look at it, or start online and we’ll give you a number before you drive over.
