Service You Can Count On
We see a little bit of everything at Elk River Guns—hard-used hunting rifles, match pistols, heirloom revolvers, and carry guns that actually get carried. Our gunsmiths treat every firearm like it’s going back out the door with their own name on it.
We’ll walk you through what we find, explain your options in plain English, and give you an honest estimate before the work starts. No mystery charges. No surprise parts. Just solid work that runs.
Repairs & Safety Checks
Parts wear out. Springs break. Things work loose. We diagnose the problem, replace what’s needed, and make sure everything cycles and locks up the way it should. From feed issues and light strikes to “this just doesn’t feel right,” we’ll chase it down and test it before it goes back in your hands.
Custom Work & Upgrades
Want your rifle to hit cleaner, your pistol to run flatter, or your shotgun to fit better? We install and tune upgraded parts, adjust triggers, fit stocks and grips, and help you build a setup that actually works for how you shoot. Bring in the parts you already have or talk with us about what to order—we’ll make sure it all plays nice together.
Sight & Optic Installation
If you can’t see it, you can’t hit it. We mount irons, dots, scopes, and magnifiers, then bore-sight and function-check so you’re not fighting loose rings or crooked bases at the range. Need help getting a clean zero? Ask about scheduling a range session so we can help you dial it in.

Ask the Bench
If you don’t ask, we can’t fix it.
Have a question about a repair, upgrade, or weird issue your gun is giving you? Use this form to give us the basics. We can usually tell you whether it’s a quick fix, a parts order, or something that needs a closer look on the bench.
For quotes we almost always need to see the firearm in person—bring it by the shop during business hours and we’ll take a look.
